You can get the updated COVID-19 vaccine at your nearest Randalls pharmacy. Skip the line by scheduling your COVID-19 vaccination appointment, or you can simply walk into your local store pharmacy. We'll say thanks with 10% off your next grocery purchase.2

Your nearest pharmacy should carry the latest COVID-19 vaccines. For the updated COVID-19 vaccines to be used in the Fall of 2023, the FDA has advised manufacturers updating their COVID-19 vaccines to develop vaccines with a monovalent XBB 1.5 composition. The vaccines are approved and authorized equally, as they all cover the same variant.

Scientists are monitoring how long COVID-19 vaccine protection lasts. Recent data show that 1 dose of the updated COVID-19 vaccine better protects you against more serious illness, hospitalization, and death. People who have received the updated COVID-19 vaccine in recent months are better protected against severe illness from COVID-19 than those who have not gotten it.

CDC says there is no recommended waiting period between getting a COVID-19 vaccine and other vaccines. You can get a COVID-19 vaccine and other vaccines, including a flu vaccine, at the same visit. Experience with other vaccines has shown that the way our bodies develop protection, known as an immune response, and possible side effects after getting vaccinated are generally the same when given alone or with other vaccines.

Testing

Self-tests for COVID-19 give rapid results and can be taken anywhere, according to the CDC. They detect current infection. They give you results in 10-15 minutes and are usually antigen tests.

At-home COVID-19 tests are different from laboratory-based PCR tests or self-collected samples that are sent to a laboratory; these may take days to return your result. Learn more At-Home-Covid-19-Test-Kits
