Sauvignon Blanc, Sancerre, France, 2008
You will find in artisan grower Thierry Merlin's Sancerre the essence of sauvignon blanc: crisp, clean and full-bodied, with piercingly fresh flavors of grapefruit. Thierry's 32 acres of vines grow on the chalky limestone hillsides of Bue, one of the hamlets surrounding the ancient hilltop town of Sancerre. Prized for their fine aromatics and minerality, Bue's wines are among the appellation's most elegant. Thierry's delicious wine is superb with seafood, particularly shellfish. Alc. 13% by vol. Product of France.
