Directions 1 pkg NOH Portuguese Vinha D'alhos Mix; 1/2 cup water; 1-2 lbs. Fish (Pork, Chicken, Rabbit, Wild Game, Etc.). Combine contents of this package with 1/2 cup water, stir until well blended. Marinate 1-2 lbs. of fish (cut 1/2 inches thick) for approximately 1/2 hour. Cook in frying pan with oil (2 Tablespoons) until golden brown. Option: broil or grill. Makes an excellent all purpose seasoning. Shrimp Scampi: Marinate 1 lb. of shrimp and saute in butter. Portuguese Pickled Onions: Combine contents of package with 1/4 cup water, 1 cup white vinegar, 1/2 cup sugar, mix until well blended. Cut 3 medium round onions into eighths - 1/4 moon shape. Place onions into a quart size jar pressing firmly down. Pour 2 cups hot water over onions and let stand for a few minutes; then drain. Pour sauce-mixture over onions and let stand 2-3 days. Refrigerate.
