Directions Cajun Gumbo Mix Cooking Directions: Stove Top Chicken & Sausage: 1- In a 4 quart stock pot, combine 8 cups of water, gumbo mix, 2 lbs of chicken pieces (pre-cooked/browned) and chopped smoked sausage (optional). 2- Bring to a boil then reduce heat to low, cover and let simmer for 25 minutes, stirring occasionally. 3- Serve over rice and enjoy. Stove Top Seafood: 1- In a 4 quart stock pot, combine 7 cups of water and gumbo mix. 2- Bring to a boil then reduce heat to low. Add 2 lbs fresh seafood and let simmer for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally. For frozen seafood, let simmer for 25 minutes or until you feel necessary. 3 Serve over rice and enjoy.
