Directions Stove Top Cooking: In a medium saucepan, bring to a boil 2 cups water, 2 tbsp, butter or margarine and 1 tsp. salt (optional). Add 1 cup organic rice, reduce heat to low, cover and cook for 20 minutes. Remove from heat and let stand, covered, until water is absorbed. Fluff with fork and serve. Yields: 3-1/2 cups of cooked rice. For firmer organic rice, reduce water by 1/4 cup. Microwave: Combine 1 cup organic rice, 2 cups water, 1 tablespoon butter or margarine, and 1 teaspoon salt (optional). Place in microwave-safe dish. Cover and cook on high for 5 minutes or until mixture boils. Reduce to 50% power. Cook 20 minutes. Let stand 5 minutes. Fluff with fork and serve. Microwaves may vary. For firmer organic rice, reduce water by 1/4 cup.
