San Simeon Paso Robles Grenache Rosé Wine is 100% Grenache from our Stefano Vineyard in the celebrated El Pomar appellation in Paso Robles. Stefano is ideally suited to Grenache, with warm daytime temperatures balanced by cool afternoon breezes flowing through the Templeton Gap. Our Grenache – clone 362 - is planted in the heart of Stefano, less than four acres surrounded by steep hillsides filled with rocks of all shapes and sizes. At the winery, we removed the juice from the skins quickly in order to preserve freshness and imbue a lovely, light pink color. After fermentation the wine rested in tank for several months prior to bottling. This salmon-pink wine is redolent of summer fruits, with perfumed notes of melon, plum and apricot. On the palate mature fruit flavors persist with complementary notes of orange hibiscus. With a rich, round body and moderately high acidity, this is a beautifully structured wine with a long, satisfying finish. Sustainability is a top priority at San Simeon. Our Paso Robles Vineyards are certified sustainable by the rigorous California Sustainable Wine Alliance (CSWA).
