Directions Cooking Instructions: Stove Top: 1. Bring water (or milk) and salt to a boil. Stir in oats. 2. Cook about 5 minutes over medium heat or until thickened. Stir occasionally. 3. Stir before serving. Stove Top: 1 Serving: 1 cup water (or milk); 1/2 cup oats; dash of salt (optional). 2 Servings: 1-3/4 cups water (or milk); 1 cup oats; 1/8 tsp of salt (optional). 6 Servings: 5 cups water (or milk); 3 cups oats; 1/4 tsp of salt (optional). Microwave: 1 Serving: 1 cup water (or milk); 1/2 cup oats; dash of salt (optional). Microwave: 1. For 1 serving, combine water (or milk), salt, and oats in medium microwave-safe bowl. 2. Microwave on high about 2-1/2 to 3 minutes or until thickened. 3. Stir before serving. For thicker oatmeal use less water (or milk). For thinner oatmeal use more water (or milk).
